Books, Redux

96.

I’ve read 96 books from July 1st to today. I’ve not counted magazines, newspapers, websites, blogs, rulebooks, or other publications. But that’s pretty much exactly 1 every 2 days. I’ve got a nice stack to tide me through the next month or so, but that’s not so bad. I’ll be starting a new page for the new year, but the link will stay the same.

Given that I read 38 of them after I started working again in September, that’s no mean feat. Not quite the book a day of my “youth”, but also not quite the three-a-day I’d read on weekends when I was in high school. I had a life, I really did.

How’d the rest of you do? I’m thinking of starting a movie page as well, but if managed right, Scottflix will do that for me.

Happy New Year, to those of you I’ll not be seeing tonight. If you need me, call me. The pocket will vibrate your intentions. Otherwise, I should be sobering up sometime on Sunday.

MMM, sauce

We hope. Planning a sauce with a snootful sometimes doesn’t work as well as you’d thought. Especially when you don’t get to making it for nearly twelve hours.

However, it smells delicious, and I hope to eat an early portion this afternoon. Full of fresh vegetably goodness, and pig.

MMM, pig. If you care not for pig, you don’t get any. Because, Like Dr. Doolittle, I love pork most of all. But unlike him, it doesn’t talk to me before I eat it.

And should any of you be thinking of Eddie Murphy at this moment, Shame, Shame on you.
